Former President John Dramana Mahama has assured Ghanaians that he will restore economic prosperity in the country if he wins this year’s polls.
He said the economy will grow at a faster rate under his administration.
Mr Mahama said these while speaking to journalists after registering for his voter ID card in Bole on Wednesday August 5,
During the interaction with the press, he described the One District One Factory initiative by the Akufo-Addo administration as a propaganda tool being used by the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) ahead of the December 7 elections.
He said most districts in Ghana do not have their factories yet as promised by the President, with just four months into this year’s elections.
“One village one dam has not materialized, all the dams dried up in the dry season,
“Most districts do not have any factory yet and yet it has all been propaganda.
“Ghanaians have seen through it and on 7 December 2020 they are going to exercise their franchise to kick out this nonperforming government.
“We will come and restore economic prosperity in this country and we will protect our people from the coronavirus. Look at the number of people who are dying from the coronavirus. This government has failed in this coronavirus.”
