The Nekotech virtual college has held Ghana’s first virtual graduation.
The event which took place on Monday July 20, 2020 saw some forty eight young men and women graduating with professional certificates as master Forex Traders.
Although it was it’s maiden graduation, the event was excellent and has won the admiration of people across the globe.
The Nekotech virtual college, an online learning center borne out of the multiple award winning Nekotech Centre of Excellence, founded by the late U.S mega star, crowned Nene Katey Ocansey, (A.K.A Sir Isaac Hayes) and H.E Rev Dr Princess Asie Ocansey of Ada.
Speaking at the historic graduation, chancellor of the nekotech virtual college H.E Rev Dr Princess Asie Ocansey said “we want to thank the government of Ghana and the African union for all they continue to do for the youth of Africa to benefit from the SDG’s and the Agenda 2063 respectively. Nekotech is committed to arming young people with employable skills to help them create wealth”
The virtual graduation was on the theme ” POST COVID 19, KINGDOM, WISDOM AND WEALTH”
The graduands were trained on various aspects of Forex trading to ensure self-sufficiency during the COVID-19 era and beyond.
All the trainees are with the nations builders corps, a program being implemented by government to create employment for the youth.
Commenting on the importance of the collaboration between the NEKOTECH VIRTUAL institute and the nations builders corps, director of business research and skills development at NABCO Dr Mubarak Bowam said, the training by NEKOTECH came at a time when skills development is critical for youth development.
Delivering the keynote address, CEO of Roberts Companies H.E Rev Dr Michael Roberts, who was enstooled chief for development in Ada under the stool name Nene Akrofi Kubi Ocansey encouraged the graduands to employ the knowledge aquired to maximize wealth to change their lives.
He said “change will happen so be in control of the change when it happens by preparing well”. The author of the best seller ACTION HAS NO SEASON” congratulated the Chancellor and faculty of the NEKOTECH virtual college for the initiative to train and equip young people with skilss for wealth creation.
The virtual event also witnessed the launch of the women in forex and entrepreneurship, meant to encourage and create a platform to encourage more women to get into forex trading.
The inititiave has the minister for Gender children and social protection as its patron. Speaking during the virtual graduation event, Gender minister Cynthia Mamle Morrison applauded the Chancellor of the college for leading and introducing interventions to help develop and train the youth in Ghana.
She said “this training is timely to ensure the youth are better placed to face the economic challenges COVID 19 will bring”
The 48 graduands who had no knowledge of forex trading, graduated with professional trading skills after receiving world class training from experts during a seven week intensive program.
The program was highly surbsidised with support from the SOS Labour Ghana Limited, a multiple award winning private employment agency.
