Audit COVID-19 Funds – Auditor General petitioned

The Auditor General, Daniel Domelevo has been petitioned to audit the utilisation of the COVID-19 funds.

The petitioned was filed by the Minority in Parliament on Wednesday June 3 2020.

The opposition lawmakers want the Auditor General to specifically audit the moneys that went into the provision of food and water during the lockdown period in the country over the coronavirus.

The petitioned signed by Member of the Finance Committee, Casiel Ato Frson and dated 3rd June 2020, said : “Honourale Auditor General, the Minority Caucus in Parliament with the Responsibility of ensuring the judicious utilization of state resources and in accordance with Section 16 of the Audit Service Act 2000 (ACT 584) calls o you to undertake a Special Audit into the expenditure on the GHS280.3 million that was allocated for the provisions of food, water and sanitation under the Coronavirus Alleviation programme. (CAP).”
