COCOBOD CEO inspects mass pruning exercise

The Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Cocoa Board (COCOBOD), Mr Joseph Boahen Aidoo, has inspected the ongoing mass pruning exercise in the Central and Eastern regions.

He said he was impressed by the work of the farmers and commended all of them for engaging in the exercise.

“I was in the Central and Eastern Regions during the week touring some cocoa farms to inspect the progress of the ongoing Mass Pruning Exercise, which is first of its kind in terms of scope and scale,” he said in a statement.

He added : “ I was very much impressed by the dedication of the pruners in carrying out their tasks and, as well, struck by the enthusiasm of the farmers.

“It was evident from my interaction with them that they have come to understand and wholly accepted the need to prune their farms. So, to all the farmers, I say Ayekoo!!!”
