Stanbic bank has told its customers to be cautious as they transact banking businesses through its digital channels.
The bank said some scammers are lurking around to dupe unsuspecting customers through the use of technology hence the need to be vigilant.
Stanbic urged the customers not to answer emails relating to their bank accounts that are suspicious.
A message to customers said : “As you take charge of your account with safe and secure digital channels, remember scammers are out to take advantage of covid19.
“Watch out for smishing text messages and exercise caution when handling mails with suspicious subject line, attachment or hyperlinks.
