The management of the Universal Merchant Bank (UMB), has announced that all the branches that were closed down when the partial lockdown of some parts of the country in the wake of the COVID-19 outbreak was instituted, will be reopened.
The bank took measures, including the closure of those branches, to protect customers and staff from the deadly virus which has claimed nine lives in Ghana so far.
President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo on Sunday April 19 lifted the restriction placed on movements of persons in some parts of the country including Greater Accra and Greater Kumasi.
Following the decision to lift the restriction, the UMB said in a message to customers that it will also reopen all the closed branches.
The management however said Saturday Banking is still on hold.
“Dear Valued Customer, please be informed that effective today, all UMB branches will open every Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 3:00pm following the lift on the partial lockdown.
“Saturday Banking is still on hold. Our 24-hour e-channels will be available. Stay safe and thank you for banking with us,” the message said.
