Blue skies produces face masks for over 2k workers; sets up a clinic for staff


Blue Skies is producing face masks for the over 2000 workers as part of efforts to deal with the COVID-19 outbreak.

According to the management, the decision to produce the masks follows the unavailability and high cost of the few masks on the market.

The company has also establish a clinic, fully furnished with nurses and doctors employed to treat staff during this period.

The General Manager of Blue Skies, Janet Lutterodt, told TV3 that “We have trained nurses, we have a doctor who comes twice a week.”

Touching on the reduction of electricity tariff by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo as part of efforts to deal with the effect of COVID-19, she said the move was commendable.

However, she also called for tax reliefs to support business maintain workers during this difficult time.

“Relief in taxes will be good,” she said.
